You will definitely hear some people saying that getting an education is an essential because the vast majority of the world’s millionaires and billionaires never finished school and they did pretty well for themselves. The thing to remember here is that these people are the exception to the rule and for the rest of us, it makes perfect sense that we would want to get ourselves the best education possible to create many more opportunities for us. It is commonly accepted that a good education is essential in order to be able to operate in today’s modern and competitive society and if you have a good education in hand then you can contribute a lot more to society and take better care of your family as well.
Many people who are already working now understand the importance of getting the right kind of education and so they study GED (known as เรียน GED in Thai) so as to create opportunities for themselves and maybe go on to get the degree that they have never had. They now know that if they want the promotion then they need to get a degree that qualifies them to move up the corporate ladder. If you still think that an education is not essential for today’s competitive world then maybe the following can change your mind.
- It creates better opportunities – You should know that when jobs are advertised and the invite applications, the first thing that they look for is a good education and if you cannot put this down on your resume then your application will go in the bin and the employer will move on. If you have a good education then more employment opportunities will come your way and if we get you onto the first rung of the ladder when it comes to even getting invited for interview in the first place.
- You make more money – You can demand a higher salary if you are more qualified and employers use how far you have gone in the education sector to decide what percentage of a salary increase and you should get. Clearly if you have a doctorate, you get the highest salary and then it drops incrementally through master’s degree and then bachelor’s degree.
You’re only going to get one chance at this life and so you need to make the most of it while you can. Getting yourself a proper education is the first stage to happiness and to being able to provide for both yourself and your family members.
